Ambulatory Care Pharmacy Practice and Academia Residency

This residency provides in-depth experience in Ambulatory Care Pharmacy Practice and Academia. As a resident, you will have the opportunity to practice as part of an interdisciplinary team at the UF&Shands General Internal Medicine Clinic at the Shands Medical Plaza. The UF&Shands Internal Medicine Clinic provides comprehensive care to adult residents in North Central Florida, and is the only UF Internal Medicine practice group with an established pharmacy clinic. Specific areas of interest include: Anticoagulation Management, Diabetes, Hypertension, and Medication Therapy Management. In addition, you will rotate at the Malcom Randall VA Medical Center, publish in peer-reviewed journal(s), design/participate in IRB-approved research projects, teach in the traditional and working professional Pharm.D. curricula, assist with course coordination, precept clerkship students, and present at state and/or national meetings.
