PTR Welcomes New Faculty Member

Stacy Voils

 

 

The department is very pleased to announce the appointment of Stacy Voils, PharmD, MS, BCPS, as Clinical Assistant Professor in the Department of Pharmacotherapy and Translational Research. Dr. Voils started his new position on July 8th and will be located on the Gainesville campus. Dr. Voils’s clinical practice will be based at the UFHealth Shands Hospital, where he will practice and conduct research as part of the critical care team. Dr. Voils was formerly a Clinical Pharmacy Specialist in Neurosurgery and Cardiothoracic Surgery at the Virginia Commonwealth University Health System (VCUHS), Medical College of Virginia campus in Richmond, Virginia, and Clinical Assistant Professor in the VCU School of Pharmacy.

Dr. Voils received his Pharm.D. degree from the University of Kentucky. After working briefly as a clinical pharmacist, he completed a PGY-1 Pharmacy Practice residency at the VA Medical Center in Lexington, Kentucky followed by a PGY-2 residency specializing in critical care at VCUHS in Richmond. In December 2012, Dr. Voils received a MS degree in Biostatistics and Clinical Research from the VCU College of Medicine. Dr. Voils is a member of the Society of Critical Care Medicine and the American College of Clinical Pharmacy (ACCP). He is the current Chair of the ACCP Critical Care Practice and Research Network.
