Faculty in the Department of Pharmacotherapy and Translational Research train Pharm.D. students to become future pharmacists, as well as graduate students to become clinical pharmaceutical scientists. The department also offers residency and fellowship programs to provide advanced educational opportunities and prepare the next generation of health care leaders.

The Clinical Pharmaceutical Sciences concentration trains clinical and translational researchers, including clinician-scientists, to pursue independent research careers in academia, industry or with government agencies.

PGY2 Program
Pharmacogenetics Pharmacy Residency
The Pharmacogenetics Pharmacy Residency is a one-year program within the UF Health Precision Medicine Program and the IUF College of Pharmacy for professionals who have completed an ASHP-accredited PGY1 pharmacy residency.

Clinical Pharmacogenetics Fellowship
The Clinical Pharmacogenetics Fellowship is a comprehensive two-year program housed within the UF Health Precision Medicine Program and is designed for professionals who have successfully completed a PGY-1 residency or possess three years of relevant experience.

Health Equity Fellowship
The Health Equity Fellowship program will prepare pharmacists for a career in health care quality improvement, medication safety and population health by providing the opportunity to gain important skills and knowledge in this area.

Teaching Certificate Program
This 12-month program is designed for pharmacy residents, fellows and graduate students who are interested in teaching. Our goal is to provide experience with, and tools for, facilitating, teaching, and precepting. Participants will learn about evidence-based teaching methods in higher education, craft a teaching philosophy and engage in quarterly meetings.
